on the mound, Astros' Don Wilson fanned 15 in a 2-0 no-hitter vs. Braves, June 18...White Sox' Joel Horlen handcuffed the Tigers in a 6-0 No-Hitter, September 10...Twins' Dean Chance pitched a rain-abbreviated 5-inning No-Hitter vs. Red Sox, August 6, and a regulation 9-inning gem at Cleveland, August 25...Orioles' Steve Barber and Stu Miller combined for a No-Hitter in losing effort vs. Tigers, April 30...but the crowning achievement of 1967 was accomplished by Red Sox' Carl Yastrzemski who won AL's Triple Crown. "Yaz" tied for league lead (with Twins' slugger Harmon Killebrew) at 44 HR's while standing alone with .326 Average and 112 Runs Batted In. |
