Steve Garvey was a ten time All Star, was elected the National League MVP in 1974 and was on the 1981 World Series winning Los Angeles Dodgers team. He was best known as a first baseman although he started at third base as you can see from the face of this card.
Collectors love the 1971 Garvey rookie card for its great photo and because he was one of the greats. It is hard for many to understand why he hasn’t been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was one of the great players to watch in his day and he has the awards to prove his greatness.
